Absolutely love Carla’s Cookie Box! Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, fresh, and full of flavour. So many amazing flavours to choose from! I can’t wait to try more! The butter tarts are to die for! I’ve been dreaming about them since the last time I had one, so I had to order more! ❤️

The butter tarts were amazing. They beautifully packed. I had ordered them for my birthday and they arrived well before my birthday. They froze beautifully. Some of the best butter tarts I have ever eaten.

The courier delivery can be a little hit or miss. So if you are purchasing for an event makes sure you coordinate with the delivery service. Otherwise would have been a 5 star review.

I just received my buttertarts and I am not impressed and they tasted stale and had no flavour at all. Paying $42.00 for 6 is a lot of money and donut mind paying that if they had flavour and very disappointed would not recommend
Shipping date was Aug 28th. Received tarts Aug 27 so something got mixed up in the shipping and delivery dates Tarts were definitely not fresh. Filling had dried up and shrunk. No runny filling. Impossible to get them out of foil dishes as pastry was so dry. Very disappointing
⭐️ Very disappointing subscription experience
I ordered a 3-month butter tart subscription as a gift. My invoice was $71.32, and I paid $32.87. I received ONE box and nothing after that.
I repeatedly contacted Carla’s Cookie Box for 2 months and received generic responses that didn’t address the problem. Their website continued showing the remaining boxes as pending/being prepared, with no clear explanation.
I finally received a response saying their system only charged me $32.87 and that this was for the one box I received. But if that’s the case, why was my original 3-month invoice $71.32? The $38.45 difference has still not been properly explained.
Mistakes happen, but customers should be notified when there is a payment or subscription issue. Instead, I was left believing my 3-month subscription was being fulfilled.
Poor communication, confusing billing, and a very frustrating customer service experience.
I was looking forward to getting these as I’m a big butter tart fan. The pastry of the tarts is crumbly and disappointing. I don’t find the flavour of the tarts very tasty. Will not purchase these again.

I always bring a pack or two to work with me and I've actually had a coworker tell me that its the first time they have had a desert taste so decadent

The butter tarts arrived as promised with a cooler pack. I was able to keep them in the fridge for a while until I enjoyed them with a friend of mine who loves butter tarts! We both found them delicious. As my friend said it was the perfect amount of filling and crust.

OMG, I bought the fatties, the regular chocolate chip cookies and the tarts and they were absolutely scrumptious.My diabetic husband who is not a big sweet eater couldn’t resist them either. Definitely worth the money and will be ordering again

Delicious tarts, but really poor customer service. When I emailed to say that part of my order was missing, I was presented with an impossible set of conditions to satisfy. Specifically, they demanded a photo of the package after it was opened but before it was unpacked. Seriously? How am I supposed to have that, especially when it takes a day or two to get an email in response? Nice loophole for never having to address a missing item.
Hi TonjaK, thank you for your feedback. we’re glad you enjoyed the butter tarts. We do want to clarify that our missing-item documentation requirements are not introduced after a claim is made. The policy is provided on our packing slips and in multiple areas of our website. The requested photos are intended to be taken when the package is opened, rather than after waiting for a response from our team. They allow us to compare the contents as received with our packing and fulfillment records and properly investigate whether an item was omitted. Once an order has been completely unpacked, that verification becomes much more difficult. These requirements are applied consistently to missing-item claims and are not intended as a loophole to avoid resolving legitimate issues.
Everything was well packaged and arrived with zero breakages or losses. It also survived the summer heat during transit. Would 100% buy from here again.
Customer Review — Disappointing Subscription Experience
I ordered a three-month butter tart subscription from Carla’s Cookie Box as a gift and paid the full subscription amount upfront. Their website clearly states that subscriptions are paid once upfront, with no hidden fees, and that the monthly deliveries are shipped directly to your door.
I received the first month’s delivery, but nothing after that.
I have contacted Carla’s Cookie Box multiple times about the missing deliveries. Unfortunately, the responses I have received have been generic, seemingly AI-generated messages that don't actually address the problem or tell me when the products I already paid for will be shipped.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I can see the subscription/order information on their website. It shows that the second month was pending and apparently being prepared, but it was never shipped or delivered. Now the third month is showing as being scheduled as well, while I still haven't received the second delivery and have received no meaningful response from the company.
At this point, I have paid for three months and received only one.
I understand that shipping delays and mistakes can happen. What I find unacceptable is paying upfront for a subscription, not receiving what was purchased, and then being ignored when trying to resolve the issue. A generic automated response is not a solution when the specific issue is that paid-for products have not been delivered.
I’m leaving this review because I think customers should know what my experience has been before purchasing a subscription. I hope Carla’s Cookie Box addresses this and either fulfills the subscription that I paid for or provides an appropriate refund.

Only the first shipment had been billed and paid for at the time of this review, and the subsequent subscription shipments had not yet been charged.
